DPM Union MoTC Minister attends 16th intake MMMC Cadet Course graduation event
The Myanmar Mercantile Marine College Cadet Course No. 16 Graduation ceremony was held on 4th April, 2025 at Myanmar Mercantile Marine College in Kamayut, Yangon.
The ceremony was attended by State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, Yangon Region Government Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Yangon Region Government Ministers for Security and Border Affairs, and Transport, the Yangon mayor, heads of departments under the ministry, guests and officials and parents of graduating cadets.
The Deputy Prime Minister first inspected the graduation company and took the salute of the marching companies. Afterwards, the Union Minister presented awards to outstanding cadets. Cadet Min Htet Maung Maung (Nautical Studies), Cadet Saing Kaung Htet Kyaw (Marine Engineering), and Cadet Ye Thu Yaza (Marine Electro Technology) were awarded the Best Cadet Awards. For academic excellence, Cadet Kaung Zing Thu (Nautical Studies), Cadet Shine Min Aung (Marine Engineering), and Cadet Hein Myat San (Marine Electro Technology) were each honored with the Academic Excellence Award.
Afterwards, Deputy Prime Minister met six outstanding cadets and their parents and took the documentary photos with guests, officials and graduating cadets.
In the 16th Diploma Course at the Myanmar Mercantile Marine College, a total of 281 cadets successfully completed the program. Among them, 123 were Cadets specializing in Nautical Studies, 121 were Cadets specializing in Marine Engineering, and 37 were Cadets specializing in Marine Electro Technology.
