Academic Plan and Calendar

MMMC selects students for the Diploma in Nautical Studies and the Diploma in Maritime Technology according to the students’ interest and the marks of the matriculation exam.

There are four semesters for Diploma course. At the end of each semester, there must be an examination. The students need to pass all subjects in each semester to proceed to be allowed in next semester. The course emphasizes both theoretical and practical aspects of nautical studies and maritime technology. Students have to attend lectures to enhance their knowledge and also do practical laboratory work to understand the theory well. The course takes two years as full -time course. In second year, the students have to do presentation and project on respective subject at the end of the second semester. Besides, marine companies select the outstanding cadets to send onboard training as cadets.

At the end of the four semesters, they will get the Diploma only if all the requirements are fulfilled.
