The Department of English became part of MMMC in 2005. As the main objective of our training centre is to become proficient seafarers in their respective fields, English plays an important role to support courses including Diploma in Nautical Studies and Diploma in Maritime Technology.
Aim
The issues addressed in the Department of English aim the learners to be able to carry out whatever needed as a competent seafarer.
Objective
The contents in specific English courses try to meet the requirement of particular courses. To integrate four skills for learners of English as a second or foreign language, the courses are adapted. The class size of not more than 40 students is designed to get close interaction between the instructors and the learners.
