Ceremony Held to Honor two MMMC Cadets Awarded Second Prize at AMFUF Ocean Innovation Challenge 2026

A ceremony to honor two cadets of Myanmar Mercantile Marine College (MMMC) who were awarded the Second Prize (Ocean Excellence Award) at the Ocean Innovation Challenge 2026 (AOIC), organized by the Asian Maritime & Fishery Universities Forum (AMFUF) in the Republic of Korea, was held at Myanmar Mercantile Marine College on 25 September 2026.

The two MMMC cadets participated in the “Maritime Safety, Security and Digital Risk Management” category of the Ocean Innovation Challenge 2026 and received the Second Prize (Ocean Excellence Award).

At the ceremony, U Zaw Win Tun, Principal of Myanmar Mercantile Marine College, delivered congratulatory remarks. He presented congratulatory awards to Maung Wai Phone Lin, a second-year Diploma in Nautical Studies student, and Maung Htoo Aung Lin, a second-year Diploma in Marine Electrical Technology student, in recognition of their achievement in the Ocean Innovation Challenge 2026.

The ceremony was attended by U Zaw Win Tun, Principal of Myanmar Mercantile Marine College; Capt. U Kyaw Kyaw Win, Head of the Nautical Studies Department; U Htun Lin Oo, Head of the Workshop Technology Department; teachers; and MMMC cadets.
